For the beret a curious emblem was produced consisting of the interlacing-braided letters A and M, and backed by a five-pointed star. The letters stand for the Indonesian words Akademi MJLITER and five-pointed star is the symbol of the ideal human by vigor and character. In the outskirts of the stylized W a palm branch and an oak branch. The letters with star are manufactured separately and attached to the barrette buckle Dutch model. As such, created a good-looking beretbadge until the Indonesians found out what the barrette clasp actually symbolized. When it was done quickly with this lndonesisch-Dutch beretbadge and it was replaced by the emblem in Indonesia is worn. By the cadets Since there is probably no more than 50 beret emblems on the W are manufactured AM emblem with star very rare. It is for example in the historical collection of the KMA-Breda (and perhaps some retired generals in Indonesia) *
In contrast to the above description it is a copy that in place of the AM letters, a letter T has. It would concern the letter T from the word that means TERUNA cadet in Malay. The reason for this different version is to me unknown. Please let me inform me about it further!

Thanks to the kind cooperation of the collection manager of the KMA, these illustrations and additional information
I now know the emblems to detect. Luckily there were also taking handwritten descriptions from the time it came in the collection.
Attached you will find four photos.
1.On the first picture you can see a beret buckle with the letters AM (as described on your site and source) and a red surface.
2.The picture 2 shows corresponding shoulder emblems (left a 3rd year cadet, right a 1st year cadet).
This is described as being Army. Underneath the street name as well your site is.
3.On the third picture you can see a shoulder emblem of a 2nd year cadet. It has the same T as your beretbadge to see. This is described as being Air Force.
4 In the last picture you can see the emblems below are taken into use.
100% sure I can not say, but I there were probably high as the shoulder emblems for the Army and Air Force also two different beret badges in circulation. Blue T substrates and your beretbadge are therefore in line with the shoulder emblems. Further documentation or photos that confirm this I have not yet encountered.
